The Resident Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating on-site supportive services in order to provide access to available services, allowing residents to maintain their independence. Position also facilitates residents’ participation in programs that enhance their physical and mental well-being.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services or related field preferred or applicable experience
- Minimum two years’ work experience in related position working with older adults preferred
- Knowledge of casework process through work experience or academics required
- Prior experience with aging services network and familiarity with other human service systems
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work assignments
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions
- Ability to effectively interact with community residents
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Collaborate with Community Manager to identify resident needs and work with residents to secure appropriate resources.
- Educate residents on community resources, guidelines and limitations.
- Support residents in the transition to the community through development and implementation of orientation processes and materials.
- Assist the Resident Association in planning and publicizing social and recreational events and/or activities.
- Network with local social service agencies to establish and build partnerships.
- Serves as advocate and/or liaison for residents with management and community agencies.
- Identifies services for residents in need of higher level of care.
- Assist residents in the development of informal support networks.
Salary : $20 - $22
