Join Shepler's as a Ticket Office Assistant! Ticket sellers are a critical part of our operation as they often times offer the first impression of Sheplers Mackinac Island Ferry to our guests. Ticket Office Assistants work in a very fast paced and fun environment where interactions with new and unique people (guests, fellow cast members, vendors) is always part of the experience. Primary duties include assisting guests with ticket sales, offering friendly knowledgeable information on the Sheplers operation, Mackinac Island, and other area attractions. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, keeping the ticket office clean and organized, assisting guests with packages and promotions, selling bike and burley tickets, registering guests for overnight parking, facilitating group tickets, selling island packages, and assisting in the pre-boarding process for various departures. To perform these job duties it will require flexibility to work in both the ticket office and designated ticket scanning locations.

This position often works outdoors in all types of weather.

Part Time / Full Time / Seasonal

Full Time, Seasonal (May 1 October 31) or Full Time, Peak Season ( Early June Late August )

Skills

Ideal candidates must be comfortable working with computers and scanners, as well as the public and will possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
