* Overseeing dispatching and trucking activities, including asphalt mix, aggregates, lowboy equipment moves, AC hauling, and construction trucks
* Managing fleet size, backhauls, and capacity planning to optimize trucking efficiency
* Coordinating plant scale house support and raw material inventory levels
* Establishing annual trucking rates, haul rates, and capital/repair budgets
* Leading business development efforts to expand external hauling opportunities
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership skills, expertise in construction trucking operations, and a deep understanding of safety regulations. You should also have experience with logistics software, such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Slack, XBE, Motive, Laserfiche, Spectrum, and Monday.com. Additionally, you should be proficient in data analysis, budgeting, and financial acumen, and have knowledge of Chicagoland logistics, unions, traffic patterns, and regional regulations.
