What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse Manager position at Sheppard & Enoch Pratt Hospital?
As the largest provider of nonpublic special education schools in Maryland, Sheppard Pratt operates Type I, Type II, and residential school across the state. What to expect.
You will provide and professional nursing services. Your responsibilities will include ensuring alignment between multiple Sheppard Pratt school programs and with guidelines set forth by MSDE for health services in the school setting.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing orientation and training for new school nurses within the region.
- Administering medical care and treatment to students based on an understanding of the special needs of the student population served.
- Serving as a liaison between school staff and nursing teams, ensuring regular communication and collaboration.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education and years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Possession of a Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- 2 years of working experience in a school setting.
