This position will work as an Emergency Services Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner onsite at GBMC, in Towson, Maryland.
Sheppard Pratt’s serves patients of all ages and is specially designed for people who need immediate psychiatric evaluation and triage. These emergency services are provided with the Towson axis. Those receiving services from the emergency care are connected to levels of care most appropriate to serve the needs of our patients. Our clinicians provide rapid quality assessments to facilitate care.
Sheppard Pratt is seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner to provide outpatient and urgent assessment services in Towson, Maryland in the GBMC ED. This nurse practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluations and care to a vast population of mental health patients. This position is part of a larger and growing multidisciplined psychiatry team that provides services in hospital settings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent consultation and assessments.
- Interview patients to obtain psychological history.
- Complete written psychological assessments.
- Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team.
- Maintain patient documentation in accordance health system requirements.
- May oversee other crisis assessment clinicians
Requirements:
- Must have a current license to practice in Maryland at the time of hire.
- Two years' experience in a hospital or similar clinical setting
- Experience in psychiatric emergency settings is required as a licensed psychiatric NP
- This position will require evenings and weekends as well as previous Emergency Department experience.

The pay range for this position is $137,000 minimum to $174,000 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, board certifications and years and level of related experience.
