What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapy Supervisor, Residential Treatment- Frederick, MD (Full time, Day Shift) position at Sheppard Pratt?
The Adult Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides services for persons ages 18 and older with serious mental illness, including individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders or development disabilities. Our teams craft individualized plans for the residents to reach the highest level of recovery possible.
What to expect.
The Occupation Therapy (OT) Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating orientation, ongoing mentoring, and supervision of students in Sheppard Pratt’s occupational therapy internship program placed in the Adult RTC program. You will also provide direct care to clients.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Assisting students in completing assessments and developing and implementing treatment plans.
- Assuring completion of student evaluations and other paperwork required by the OT schools.
- Providing specialized OT assessments to assist staff in understanding client functional skill levels and appropriate placement within Sheppard Pratt programs.
What we need from you.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in occupational therapy.
- Certification with the National Board for Occupational Therapy.
- A license to practice occupational therapy in the State of Maryland.
- Five years of experience, three of which should be in supervising and providing clinical education to OT students.
