JOB DUTIES
- Supervise and coordinate all activities of Lead Welders, & Crew Members.
- Interview Potential New Welders and General Laborers
- Perform Weld test for potential new Weld Candidates
- Perform Morning meetings with Crew Members
- Please verify the attendance of staff and delegate tasks accordingly
- Supervise employees in work tasks to verify and ensure conformance to specifications, drawings, procedures, quality, schedule, and budget.
- Update management on project status as needed
- Upload End-of-day Production Reports.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, sketches, and work orders to employees.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of customer products.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Perform planning, assigning, and directing of work.
- Provide safety, equipment operation, and procedural training to Lead Welders as needed.
- Serve as a backup Welder
- Try to maintain and encourage a clean work environment
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Editing documents or managing documents on Google Doc
- Assist with Creating processes
- Communicate the application process to potential new members
- Tracking Data such as Quality, Attendance, employee performance and Production Schedule
- Budgeting
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Welder
- Must be bilingual (Spanish & English)
- Ability to lead and self-manage able to troubleshoot, pay attention, and work quickly when needed.
- Motivated to work, learn, research, and help.
- Can follow directions and ask questions as needed
- Can work in a team environment
- 2 years of HANDS-ON experience in the layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel, pipe, and plate.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Working knowledge of all tools and equipment, ironworkers, shears, breaks, and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
SUPERVISION: Project Manager-Sher Contracting
TRAINING & SUPPORT: The Project Manager does on-the-job training and ongoing support.
TIME COMMITMENT: 40 Hours Minimum
Salary
$50,000 - $53,000 per year
