What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT AM Server position at Sheraton BWI?
Our Restaurant is looking for new staff to be enthusiastic about serving our guests and visitors.
The Wait Staff is responsible to serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and first-class customer service.
The Wait Staff receives guests, takes guest orders, and processes those orders in a timely manner and with a professional demeanor. The ideal Wait Staff candidate has a warm and friendly personality that puts our customers at ease and sets expectations of dining excellence. For the Wait Staff position, a minimum of one-year experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Takes orders and serves meals and beverages promptly and courteously
- Operates the complete POS system and other required software
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Helps bus and set tables and performs side-work as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of relevant experience
- Point-of-sale (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Able to work days (AM), weekends, and holidays
