Privately held commercial real estate investment and management firm, with a diverse real estate portfolio comprised of 4 full-service hotels and several office properties, is seeking a General Manager for their Crowne Plaza in Greenville, SC.
We are seeking an energetic executive level professional with experience with IHG, Marriot and/or Hilton in hotel management, operations, and customer service to join our team. As General Manager you will manage the day to day leadership and direction of the hotel, maximizing on sales and revenue and driving financial returns. You’ll take ownership of the development of the staff, fostering a community of innovation and collaboration, execute on brand standards and build awareness of the hotel and brand within the local area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and JOB DUTIES:
1. Operations management: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, guest services, and administrative functions.Ensure the efficient and effective daily functioning of the hotel.
2. Financial management: Create budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs. Ensure accounts receivables and accounts payables are within company standards.
3. Guest satisfaction: Address complaints, ensure guests have a great experience, and set service standards.Maintain a relentless focus on guest satisfaction and brand scores, ensuring high-quality service standards are consistently met.
Address and resolve guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
4. Staff management: Recruit, train, and lead a diverse team of hospitality professionals. Ensure employees are following safety, company policies and procedures
5. Marketing: Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies to increase occupancy rates and revenue. Promote the hotel to its target market and coordinate marketing and promotional activities.
6. Social Media: Professionally respond to social media/email inquiries from the public.
7. Compliance: Ensure the hotel complies with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and licensing requirements.
8. Crisis management: Develop and execute crisis management plans to address unforeseen events or emergencies.
Train staff on emergency protocols to ensure guest and employee safety.
9. Brand: Knowledge of IHG tools, standards and training.
10. Skills: Technical skills such as use of Opera, Birchstreet, etc.
Requirements:
- 5 years’ experience in the areas of hospitality management, hotel operations, and/or sales
- Proven track record in driving performance to achieve results
- Detail oriented, analytical and highly organized
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy
- Knowledge of market research
- Contract negotiating skills including reviewing and understanding maintenance agreements
- Comprehensive financial profit and loss statements
- Computer proficiency

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
