Cafe Attendant (AM and PM Shifts Available)

Description

General Purpose: To prepare and serve food and beverages to guests of the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in our &MORE café/barista while maintaining Sheraton’s high standards of service. Creating a welcoming, engaging and vibrant(High Energy) atmosphere for our guest to enjoy their experience at the Sheraton.

• Prepares coffee, espresso and smoothie drinks. Also, prepare all hot and cold beverages and food while maintain a clean working environment.
• Proficiently prepares all hot and cold blended drinks provided by the &More by Sheraton Menu.
• Learn all types of coffees and teas to prepare for guest by brewing /blending.

  Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves all food and beverage items to guest as directed by the &More By Sheraton standards.
• Complies with personal hygiene and food safety standards regarding food preparation and service.
• Maintains neat, clean and sanitized preparation and work areas.
• Keeps all serving areas clean and sanitized during the hours of operation.
• Keeps hot and cold foods at proper temperatures with regular monitoring.
• Restocks foods as needed and stores food properly at the end of the service time.
• Restocks and refills condiments and regularly cleans all bottles and service ware.
• Maintains inventory control and communicates product needs to manager.
• Follows all work safety guidelines and emergency procedures guidelines.
• Participants in the hotel’s preparation and readiness for official Sheraton Inspection and Public Health inspection.

  Working Conditions:

• Typically bends, stoops, moves, lifts, squats and stands during the shift to perform food service tasks.
• Must be able to prepare foods and beverages and serve customers for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to be able to prepare and serve guest in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires ability to lift and move 30 lbs. 3-4 times during the shift.
• Requires verbal fluency and good hearing function to communicate with other associates as well as guests.
