What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Manager position at Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel?
We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to lead our team at the Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel!
The Housekeeping Manager coordinates the day–to–day operations of all housekeeping functions to ensure an outstanding experience for our guests.
Daily activities for the Housekeeping Manager include tasks such as organizing and leading the team; collaborating with the front desk and engineering teams; responding to guest requests and issues in a timely manner; maintaining the stock of linen and other supplies; maintaining processes to control cost and build revenue; training and coaching the team, etc.
Qualifications for a successful Housekeeping Manager include the ability to communicate effectively; the ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends; the ability to walk/stand for up to 5 hours at a time and to lift/move up to 30 lbs frequently.
Previous Housekeeping Management or Supervisory experience in a similar role is required.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus!
