Summary of Job Description:
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day support and supervision of the maintenance of the hotel and engineering team. This position supervisor the employees to successfully execute engineering operations including guest service calls, proper operation, maintenance and repair of all HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, life safety, electrical and mechanical equipment/systems.
The hourly rate for this position is $29.00 per hour.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Partners and supports the Assistant and Director of Engineering in the successful execution of engineering operations.
- Attends daily and monthly leadership meetings.
- Assists with managing the schedule.
- Oversees the day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of guests.
- Train and onboard engineering staff to develop skills and knowledge to meet performance expectations.
- Coordinate and monitor all guest rooms, public spaces, equipment, and PM programs to ensure the reliability, safety, and comfort of all staff and guests.
- Verifies property policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentations are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
- Ensure associates have supplies, equipment, tools, and uniforms necessary to perform their jobs.
- Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors.
- Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
- Train and develop associates on 4 Keys service standards, technical skills, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
- Ensure associates exceed service standards.
- Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
- Celebrates successes and recognizes the contributions of team members.
- Participates in the performance appraisal system process, giving feedback when needed.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among associates.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management
