Summary of Job Description

An updated take on the classic SoCal pool bar. A vintage cabana vibe is taken into the new era with a modern approach to fresh food and beverage. A “Sunglow: A SoCal Cabana Bar” Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers. Duties include ensuring accuracy in orders, coordinating with kitchen staff and servers, and providing prompt service to guests. Runners may also assist in food preparation, garnishing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment are essential for this role.

Beginning May through on or about November 30, 2024

The hourly rate for this position is $17.85

Education/Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in hotels, banquets, or events.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education required.

Work Hours

• Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
• Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.

• Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow up.
• Be a clear thinker, remain calm, and resolve problems using good judgment.
• Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists the service staff in the service of food for the guests.
• Ensure service is more efficient and timely and to guarantee the best possible dining experience for the guest.
• Completes opening, closing, and side work.
• Sets up food carts and stations for service.
• Communicates with and supports all staff to better serve the guests.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in an accurate and timely manner.
• Expo build tickets on food and kitchen line.
• Monitor each guest's dining experience.
• Pre-set tables for dining and clear tables for the next course.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items with ingredients in relation to common dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean dining area at all times.
• Ensure all equipment is in operation order and all supplies are up to par.
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Follow 4 Keys service standards, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Work cohesively with co-workers and all departments as part of a team.
• Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve standards of operations.
• Adhere to attendance and reliability standards.
• Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
