Position Summary: Provides a full range of banking services to individual customers and commercial clients as well as providing support to branch staff.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
· Provides account services to customers by accepting and verifying deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing withdrawals; processing cash advance transactions; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks; assisting with debit cards and internet banking; completing telephone transfers; answering questions face-to-face or on telephone; referring to other bank services as needed.
· Assists with balancing and maintaining currency in the teller cash recyclers and ATMs.
· Opening new consumer or business deposit accounts including checking, savings, CD’s, IRA’s and HSA’s; Cross selling and promoting bank products and services by recognizing and understanding customer’s needs; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customers' needs; and/or directing customers to a branch representative.
· Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
· Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; turning in mutilated currency to head teller; maintaining supply of cash and currency in cash recycle machine and/or vault.
· Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; maintaining customer traffic; auditing other tellers' currency when there are discrepancies; assisting in certification of proof.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state banking regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/CIP (US Patriot Act). Report suspected non-compliance with regulations and related policies to the Compliance Officer.
· Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
· Provide extraordinary customer service by conducting business in a professional, friendly manner and building long-term customer relationships.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Perform opening or closing duties at the branch location as needed.
- Up to 25% of the job will be teller related functions and 75% will be new account related.

Education:
High school Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum two-year experience preferred.
