Sheridan Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our outpatient care team plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care during appointments by coordinating and executing treatment plans and providing thorough client education.
In this role, you will primarily assist during exams and outpatient care, maintain detailed medical records, review treatment plans, and address clients' questions. Additionally, you will coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarians orders, ensuring the highest level of patient care and maintaining an efficient workflow to keep exams and procedures running on schedule. This position is ideal for those who excel in client engagement and schedule management.
This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday. No weekends! We are also open to part-time scheduling for the right person.
Full-time benefits and compensation:
- Compensation: $15-17/hour, based on experience and skill set
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skillset:
- 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Radiology
- Phlebotomy
- Inpatient care
- Surgical setup/assisting
