- Conduct assessments and interpret test results to identify student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Provide individual and group counseling to students on IEPs to address mental health challenges, improve coping strategies, and promote emotional well-being.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of district and school MTSS plans.
- Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
- Consult with teachers and staff to enhance classroom management strategies and create inclusive, supportive environments.
- Facilitate communication between school personnel, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Sheridan County School District #1 serves the communities of Big Horn, Dayton, and Ranchester WY at the base of the Bighorn Mountains. SCSD#1 operates on a four-day student week and prioritizes academic excellence, along with work/life balance for its employees. The area offers exceptional outdoor recreational opportunities, as well as access to local arts, entertainment, and cultural events.
Starting Salary: $64,002 - $88,685 (depending on education and experience)
Contract: 174 days
