Press Operator

Sheridan is seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Web Press Operator to join our dynamic team at our Brainerd, MN facility. In this vital role, you will be a key player on our 2nd shift, responsible for the set up and operation of offset printing functions on assigned equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures work produced exceeds quality guidelines and production specifications.
• Ensures equipment is operating through shift change and lunch breaks.
• Ensures production times meet or exceed estimated standards on the job ticket.
• Control production to ensure jobs are shipped within predetermined time frames.
• Ensure all regular preventive maintenance is performed in a timely matter by working with Pressroom Manager and Maintenance department.
• Accurately record all maintenance performed in maintenance log and roller maintenance form.
• Accurately record all production data in Logic system.
• Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Reduce numbers regarding lost paper, quality errors etc.
• Perform necessary paperwork such as time sheets, code 2's in a timely manner.
• Ensure manufacturing area is neat, clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years in trade on similar equipment, graphic arts and/or technical school background.
• Prior continuous work experience.
• Prior experience using pallet jack, computer, hand tools and small machines.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand/work 12 hours with overtime hours as needed.
• Hearing protection and safety toe shoes required.
