Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist

Job Overview

Currently seeking motivated and results-driven Accounts Receivable Collections Specialists to join our team. In this role you’ll be interacting with our clients daily by phone and email providing service related to current status of accounts, payments and other concerns.

Job Responsibilities

• Contact clients with overdue accounts, both by phone and e-mail, to ensure timely payments on open invoices
• Consistently follow up with customers on past due accounts
• Arrange plans for timely payments
• Answering calls regarding billing issues
• Assist customers with disputes, inquiries, and questions surrounding payment history
• Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress
• Provide thorough and accurate documentation of clients’ accounts through our communication channels, keeping a record of all collection activities.
• Listen attentively to customers to ensure a positive customer experience when resolving account issues related to invoices/billing or cash applications
• Send monthly statements

Required Skills

• Prior experience in collections required
• Experience in the construction industry is a requirement for this position
• High School diploma or equivalent or Associate ’s degree required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking abilities
• Problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and ability to adapt
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• in the construction industry: 2 years (Required)
