Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Registered Dietitian, assists in visitation, nutritional screening of patients, distributes general references for basic nutrition, and data gathering and reports data to the dietitian. Performs the clerical/support duties necessary for optimal patient care, including the safety and efficiency of food prepared and menu delivery system.

The California Business and Professions Code for Dietitians 2586.6: The RD Eligible may engage in the activities set forth for six months from the date that he or she completed a supervised practice program, or until the person receives notice that he or she failed the examination …whichever occurs first…

- Completion of an American Dietetic Association approved internship or supervised practice
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
