Job Description:

Responsible for managing all logistics and supervising accountability of all equipment and supplies in support of a business of more than 500 employees. Activities include managing and supervising the purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing plan for the company. Plans and oversees the movement of vehicles, supplies, and equipment in support of our customer needs across numerous contracts. Manages a team of logisticians that support numerous CONUS and OCONUS sites that provide engineering and technical support to customers. Ensures the logistics program meets all DOD supply discipline regulations and procedures. Provides company internal logistical support as necessary and manages the overall logistics processes in line with company objectives. Leverages existing networks for program logistical requirements.  


Responsibilities:

  • Maintains access to proprietary systems to track and manage all resources and support requests. 
  • Develops and maintains relationships with employees, customers, end users, and logistics counterparts across multiple government agencies and defense contracting companies.
  • Logistically supports new equipment training for scheduled and short scheduled requests.
  • Develops and maintains a cyclic inventory process that accounts for hand receipts across multiple locations. 
  • Develops a process that integrates Sherpa 6 into the government customer’s Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) system.
  • Maintains the customer’s internal inventory management system.
  • Develops an APSR training process for logisticians and hand receipt holders. 
  • Develops, implements, tracks, and reports shipping of program equipment.  
  • Assesses the physical security requirements and access protocol of storage locations and facilities.  
  • Participates in the bi-weekly LOG synch as the rep for Spring Lake and helps navigate the contract requirements to synchronize support across the enterprise. 
  • Serves as the POC for management of all Spring Lake inbound/outbound (shipping and receiving). Builds a contact list of parallel POCs (Sherpa 6 and external). 
  • Conducts direct customer interface to validate documentation and processes for issue and return of equipment (when required)
  • Provides direct input as the Sherpa 6 Logistics RoadMap and POA&M continues to evolve.  
  • Participates in daily synchronization meetings, assists with planning, and manages processes. 
  • Oversees and enforces supply discipline with proper accountability, inventories, and reporting.
  • Establishes and organizes and directs work and coordinates efforts related to the planning, programming and execution of the fielding operations, including:? 
  • Responsible for accurate input of all aspects of property accountability related to Material Fielding. 
  • Participates in fielding and/or issuing equipment in accordance with approved Basis of Issue (BOI). 
  • Identifies discrepancies or defects in products, manages fielding stations stock of product, and assists in resolving any issues or problems Soldiers have with equipment. 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or equivalent relevant experience 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving 
  • 20 years of work-related experience
  • Knowledge of Defense Logistics Agency and Army Policies, procedures, and systems
  • Experience managing a property book office
  • Experience coaching, teaching, and mentoring 
  • Must be a US citizen, pass a background check, and drug screening 

Preferred Experience:

  • OSHA 30 certification 
  • Experience with Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation (DFAR)
  • Experience with the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS)
  • 10 years supporting USSOCOM

Salary Range:

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
