Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Management:
- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate payment records.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor files and manage communications regarding payment statuses.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify accuracy between company records and bank statements.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Document reconciliation processes and findings to support audits and financial reviews.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare supporting documentation for financial audits.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to enhance internal controls and improve processes.
- Utilize accounting software and maintain accurate data entry and filing systems.
- Provide support to the broader finance team as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and bank reconciliations is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and external partners.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze financial discrepancies and implement solutions.
Sherpa offers benefits to contract employees who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a full-time employee (30 weekly hours/ 130 hours per month) to be eligible
