We are seeking an experienced Legal Billing Manager to oversee the our client's billing operations and accounts payable processes. This role is responsible for managing the legal billing team, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, maintaining compliance with client agreements, and overseeing accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of legal billing and financial processes, and experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of client invoices in compliance with firm policies and client guidelines.
- Manage and optimize the firm’s legal billing processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Supervise the billing team and provide training, support, and performance management.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting of billable hours and expenses.
- Oversee e-billing submissions, track approvals, and address client billing inquiries.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to provide insights to leadership on revenue and collections trends.
- Supervise the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper approvals and timely payments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Minimum 5 years of legal billing experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in legal billing systems.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal services environment is required.
