Job Overview – Senior Controller – 33203
The Senior Controller will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the manufacturing organization's accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This position will lead and mentor the accounting teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. The Senior Controller will sit in North Meck with regional travel to site location.
Requirements
- Lead and mentor the accounting teams across the organization.
- Develop and implement processes to strengthen the group’s controllership function.
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close processes and other key accounting activities.
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance on strategic projects, including system unification and finance department transitions.
- Ensure financial reporting accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Work closely with the FP&A team to enhance reporting and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with all applicable corporate, payroll, and other tax requirements.
- Drive process improvements that utilize technology to increase efficiency and enhance internal controls.
- Manage inventory accuracy and oversee cycle count processes.
- Implement and ensure compliance with SOX regulations across the organization.
- Ensure proper governance and oversight of payroll in collaboration with HR.
- Coordinate and manage audits, including preparing required documentation for external auditors.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
Required:
- CPA preferred with strong GAAP knowledge.
- Experience in a global company and manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Preferred:
- Experience with in Public Accounting
- Prior experience in a publicly traded company.
- Knowledge and experience with SOX compliance and maintaining internal controls.
