Our client, a global manufacturing leader, is seeking a Senior Manager International Tax to join and expand its growing Tax Operations team. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Tax Operations. The role will focus on leading and reviewing the company’s non-U.S. tax provisions, tax accounting, financial statement disclosures, and maintaining a strong internal control environment. Additionally, this individual will play a key role in supporting the global tax provision process, including BEPS Pillar 2 compliance, and advancing the company’s tax technology strategy.

Requirements

• Lead the calculation and review of quarterly non-U.S. tax provisions for foreign subsidiaries under ASC 740 standards, including managing the foreign income tax account roll forward and reconciliation process.
• Assist in the global tax provision process, with a particular focus on BEPS Pillar 2 compliance.
• Manage and support the quarterly tax provision package for material foreign legal entities.
• Monitor international tax developments, conduct research, and model/document the impact of proposed and enacted tax legislation on the global effective tax rate (ETR), including BEPS Pillar 2.
• Interface with external auditors (PWC) to support and defend tax positions, including managing the tax department’s internal control processes and documentation.
• Support transfer pricing and tax controversy audits, including responding to IDR requests.
• Assist in establishing and implementing tax strategies in collaboration with business partners to optimize tax outcomes in line with business objectives.
• Collaborate with finance and business leaders to provide advice and information on complex international tax matters.
• Lead and support tax technology initiatives, including enhancements to the OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) system.
• Oversee and support non-U.S. and U.S. international tax compliance, including forms such as 5471, 8858, 8865, 8990 series, and 1118.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA/MST preferred but not required.
• 8 to 10 years of corporate tax experience, with 3 to 5 years of management experience and direct/indirect supervisory experience.
  
  
  

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes and SEC reporting, including experience with consolidating worldwide tax provisions, effective tax rate analysis, and ASC 740 specialty areas (e.g., purchase accounting, APB 23, interim periods, partnerships).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and explain complex tax issues to foreign controllers and other non-tax stakeholders.
• Proven leadership in process improvement and leveraging technology for automation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and OneSource Tax Provision (OTP).
