Description:
Position Purpose:
Perform warehouse tasks at an elevated level of efficiency and quality while leading a team of warehouse associates by directing their workflow and setting expectations for performance.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily workload.
- Motivate team members.
- Train warehouse associates.
- Coach and assist all team members with performance and process updates.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work within the department.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System to enter order details and ship orders.
- Communicate order fulfillment issues with other departments for quick resolution.
- Know which end customers have special instructions for fulfillment and ensure the system is up to date with the same information.
- Enforce company policy and procedures.
- Solve low-profile personnel issues and write incident reports.
- Take notice of any issues that might be slowing down workflow and report it to supervisors.
- Keep a clean and organized workspace.
- Monitor inventory usage and daily projections.
- Ensure that all supplies are stocked for the team and each station. Report any abnormal use of supplies or other discrepancies.
- Be attentive and practice the guidelines of warehouse safety.
- Know and perform the daily tasks of warehouse associates.
- Assist in daily operations when the need arises or when daily responsibilities are completed.
Nature and Scope:
- Train with department supervisors.
- Maintain knowledge on Sherpack’s systems and processes.
- Work and lead teams in multiple departments as needed.
- Attend occasional meetings and share information.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or database systems.
- Proficient with communication systems.
- Adept problem-solving skills.
- Successful motivational skills.
- Hilo Certified - Required
Environment:
- Prolonged periods of standing and moving while carrying or pushing product and equipment.
- This position will be done in a heated warehouse.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds often.
