About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a key member of our store staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our wholesale and retail customers.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers in person and over the phone with their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
- Building productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Processing sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
- FOLLOWING AND ACHIEVING SALES GOALS ON A MONTHLY, QUARTERLY, AND YEARLY BASIS.
- Maintaining precise work order files and formulas.
- Pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
- Tinting and mixing products as needed to customer specifications.
- Stocking shelves and setting up displays.
- Cleaning store equipment.
- Loading/unloading delivery trucks.
- Assisting in making deliveries as needed.
- Maintaining in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas.
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
- Complying with inventory control procedures.
- Suggesting ways to improve sales.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- At least 18 years of age.
- LAWFULLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE COUNTRY OF EMPLOYMENT WITHOUT NEEDING SPONSORSHIP FOR EMPLOYMENT WORK VISA STATUS NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
- Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position is preferred. Having a valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, and experience selling paint and related products are also desirable qualifications.
