What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics and Automation Technician position at Sherwin-Williams?
The Position
This Maintenance Technician role is crucial in ensuring our manufacturing processes run smoothly. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, working closely with Plant Engineers to optimize efficiency and productivity. Your expertise in electronics and automation will be valuable assets to our team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Plant Engineer on design of detailed projects
- Be an active member of the ERT team
- Work with contractors/vendors when applicable
- Travel for source inspections or training if required
Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have electrical and three (3) years maintenance experience with industrial equipment / equipment installations / equipment modifications
- Must have experience in electric repairs on existing motors, switches, etc.
- Must have experience with conduit and wire installation
- Must have working knowledge and comprehension of equipment blueprints, good mathematical skills, and be able to read and understand equipment diagrams
