CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Based in Eau Claire, WI, the Sales Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales and working closely with assigned sales team to support their data requirements and needs. Position will generate and maintain sales and analytical reports utilizing all available data from internal and/or customer systems on a weekly and monthly basis-Create ad hoc sales and inventory reports as the needs arise to support field sales. Responsible for analysis and interpretation of POS movement, warehouse shipments and inventory data to provide insights into challenges and opportunities with assigned customer. Support Sales & Operations Manager in identifying new sales opportunities and make recommendations based on sales analytics and customer objectives. Provide presentation support for account and product. Manage inventory to ensure customer has adequate inventory to support sales at the store level.
*This position will sit at the Menards Vendor On-Site Building in Eau Claire, WI. Candidates must live within the area to work out of that location.
Inventory Management
- Ensure customer has adequate inventory to support sales at the store level
- Meet with Menards internal inventory team annually to review programs.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret customer sales data in partnership with Supply Chain to effectively forecast customer demand
- Manage special orders alongside Customer Service to ensure proper delivery of products
Sales Reporting and Analysis
- Analysis and interpretation of POS movement, warehouse shipments and inventory data to provide insights into challenges and opportunities with assigned customers.
- Complete assigned Menards reports as well as Weekly, Monthly and ad hoc reports to Sales Team.
Account Management Support
- Provide assistance to Account Teams with ad hoc reporting to support their business.
- Provide tracking of promotions and analysis of promo performance.
- Provide analysis to support various promotions such as end caps.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE Required:
- Minimum of 1-3 years working in a business environment. Preferably in Sales, Finance or an Analytical role
- Strong analytical skills to develop value added analysis to make business recommendations
- Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to handle fast-paced work environment
- Excellent internal and external customer service orientation
- Ability to ensure a high level of service, accuracy and overall quality is maintained
- Strong team building skills
- Ability to work effectively with management and external customers
- Excellent Excel and Power Point knowledge with strong understanding of database concepts
- Strong communication, time management and well as presentation skills
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- FORMAL EDUCATION:
- Required:
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years of experience as a data analyst will be considered in lieu of a degree
- KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
a. Required:
· Minimum of 1-3 years working in a business environment. Preferably in Sales, Finance or an Analytical role
· Strong analytical skills to develop value added analysis to make business recommendations
· Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to handle fast-paced work environment
· Excellent internal and external customer service orientation
· Ability to ensure a high level of service, accuracy and overall quality is maintained
· Strong team building skills
· Ability to work effectively with management and external customers
· Excellent Excel and Power Point knowledge with strong understanding of database concepts
· Strong communication, time management and well as presentation skills
· Comfortable working both independently as well as collaboratively within teams
b. Preferred:
· Comprehensive working knowledge of the supply chain function within an organization is preferred
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
x Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.

x Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
x Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.

x Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
- TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
a. Required:
· High-level of competence on MS Office, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint is required
· High-level of competence in Business Objects
b. Preferred:
· Knowledge of MS Access
· Experience working with syndicated data
· Experience working with space management concepts
