Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS :
This position is responsible for delivering consumables including chemical materials such as solvents and pigments, lab supplies and sundries from the shipping dock to an appropriate location within a laboratory or storage room. This position is also responsible for stocking and organizing lab supply rooms, keeping accurate inventory, and maintaining appropriate shipping paperwork.
Key Duties :
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Ensuring proper labeling of incoming items and internal re-containerization of products.
- Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
- Recording the location and date of delivery
- Keeping track of delivery paperwork and submitting them to the appropriate person
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
- Operating various delivery equipment including fork-lifts
- Monitoring stock levels in lab supply areas and re-stock as necessary
- Communicating with buyer when inventory is low
- Assisting in the re-containerizing requested material from bulk containers to secondary containers and properly labeling them
- Complying with all safety, health, and environmental regulations
Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and / or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised.
