What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 Assistant Dance Coach position at SHERWOOD SD 88J?
Although the official fall season doesn't start until 8/18/2025, there will be various activities, planning and interactions which will take place prior to the season as part of preparation.
Previous high school coaching experience recommended.
The coach will assist the varsity coach in all aspects of the program.
The applicant must be able to display the following attributes:
- A commitment to high ethical and professional standards
- A demonstrated ability to lead young student-athletes toward academic and athletic excellence
- A strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide cariety of stakeholders
- Skills in organization, time management and a commitment to the vision of the Sherwood Athletic Program
- A great understanding of the training, skill development and coaching techniques involved in high school dance
- The ability to generate excitement and enthusiasm for the sport of dance throughout the community
- A commitment to the importance of academic excellence and achievement for all student-athletes in the program
