Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to support teachers and assist students in their educational journey. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with literacy education, math concepts, and special education needs.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among students.
- Provide individualized support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique learning styles.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in lesson planning and contribute ideas for engaging educational activities.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school functions.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assist with the assessment of student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational or daycare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Strong literacy education skills to assist students effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students of varying ages and abilities.
- Experience in classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly environment.
- Basic understanding of math concepts to support student learning in this area.
