Job Summary
The Global Sales Director will be responsible for mentoring, developing, and overseeing a team of global sales representatives across a portfolio of global accounts to SHI. The Sales Director is responsible for working with all team members to expand SHI’s financial footprint within existing and future customers to include a broader set of products and services that will optimize the value SHI brings to our customers and ensure our long- term success with each of them. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and building strong executive relationships within all of their accounts, maintaining an independent line of communication to our clients to ensure a strong and successful partnership.
The Global Sales Director will report to the Global Sales Vice President – Pharma. This position is a remote position however may be required to report to SHI Headquarters in Somerset, NJ as required for business needs as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Build strong Executive relationships in both Procurement and IT in all of the accounts assigned to your team
- Collaborate with sales team and be seen as a leader to internal organizations, customers, and business partners alike
- Mentor and help to develop the selling and customer relations skills of those sales and support representatives on your team
- Learn the customer business needs and develop technology solutions that will help achieve corporate objectives, department outcomes and personal goals
- Partner with sales senior leadership and vendor partners, using company solution practices to provide value to our customers by establishing strong relationships and continually looking to improve how we work together
- Execute sales strategies and initiatives defined by Business Unit Leadership to achieve financial targets and upsell, cross sell to customer base
- Develop a quarterly and annual plan for growth by establishing objectives for individual reps and their customers and the business as a whole
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations to customers
- Participate and volunteer in industry specific conferences to speak on the company’s solutions and offerings
- Remain current on new technology, trends and market behavior by self-study, certifications, partner training and company sponsored training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required
- Minimum 4 years direct selling experience on major accounts deemed large, complex and/or international in scope
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Sales Director role managing a team of global sales representatives and/or major global accounts

Unique Requirements
- This role requires global travel and frequent travel within the U.S. an approximate total of 50%
Additional Information
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 which includes a base salary and commission. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
