Job Summary
SHI International seeks a highly motivated and talented Web Developer Intern to join our E-commerce team. As an intern, you can work on real-world projects, contribute to developing our e-commerce applications and services, and gain valuable hands-on experience throughout the software development life cycle.
This position will report to the Sr. Software Development Manager in the Austin, TX, or Somerset, NJ, office.

Responsibilities
Include, but not limited to:
- Under the supervision and mentoring of tenured developers, design, develop, test, code review, document, and deploy E-commerce solutions following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and fix issues.
- Assist in the implementation of new features and functionalities to improve user experience.
- Participate in Agile software development processes.
- Continuously improve and develop technical skills.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate with other business systems.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in good academic standing working towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, software development, or related field.
Required Skills
- Knowledge and experience in front-end development such as HTML, CSS, Javascript/Typescript, or React/Angular.
- Knowledge and experience in backend development such as C#, Java, Python, NodeJS, RESTful APIs, et
- Experience in using software development IDEs, such as M.S. Visual Studio, VS Code, JetBrains Rider, etc.
- Experience with version control code repository (Git).
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues with developer tools
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive work environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Essential skills and knowledge in web application development technologies
- Basic understanding of data structure, object-oriented programming, and programming algorithms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Unique Requirements
- The intern selected will be required to work 40 hours a week over a specified 12-week duration.
Additional Information
- The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00/Hr.
