Job Summary
The DevOps Solutions Architect is a strategic member of our IT Department, specializing in Azure. This role involves understanding the solutions and capabilities within a large enterprise environment, focusing on automating and optimizing our operations. The DevOps Solutions Architect is a consultative partner to internal stakeholders, aligning their goals with efficient DevOps practices to enhance productivity and communication. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement DevOps solutions. Expertise in Azure and a deep understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) processes are crucial.
This position must report to the SHI Somerset, NJ, office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate leadership to ensure that DevOps solutions align with business objectivesEngage with multiple layers of contacts within the organization to gain insights into the environmentAnalyze current DevOps processes and make recommendations for improvementbased on industry trends and professional knowledgeDevelop cross-functional DevOps strategies and solutionsTranslate business and technical objectives into prioritized, phased DevOps implementationsOversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of DevOps tools and technologies.Provide technology / architecture recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deploymentDrive the adoption of modern DevOps practices and retire legacy methodologiesContribute to the design of operational processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance with policies and security requirementsStay current with new DevOps technologies and frameworks and recommend adopting new partners or solution componentsBuild current and future state DevOps architecture diagrams and viewsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or relevant work experience is required10 years of experience in solutions architecture or software engineering5 years of experience with DevOps practices and modernizationRequired Skills
Core Development Skills : Linux, Jenkins, Git, GitHub and Actions, Shell Scripting, Terraform, Ansible, JiraExpertise in Azure DevOps, including CI / CD pipeline creation and managementImplemented large-scale infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform orAzure Resource ManagerExpertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes on AzureStrong understanding of Azure services and cloud infrastructureProficiency in automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible orPuppetAbility to analyze requirements, recommend technical solutions and write technical specificationsAbility to efficiently work with executives and internal stakeholdersCurrent understanding of best practices regarding system security measuresProject management and leadership skillsAbility to adapt to changing prioritiesAbility to translate goals and strategies into DevOps solutionsPreferred Skills :
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Integration of DevOps processes with cloud services, SaaS, and PaaS components
Hands-on experience with configuration management tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with iterative and test-driven development practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong understanding of Agile practices, including Scrum
Unique Requirements
Travel as needed based on business needs and determined by SHI management.
Additional Information
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $200,000.
