Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Home Delivered Meal Assessor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-home assessments of homebound seniors in need of home delivered meals. Traveling within Shiawassee County daily is required with mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize intakes and referrals by level of client need.
- Be able to follow instructions and use an assessment tool to determine client qualifications for program.
- Have compassion for seniors 60 and understand boundaries between client and employee.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients regarding their meals or the delivery of their meals.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve efficiency.
- Be able to answer phones and assist seniors as needed at the senior center when in office.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Human Services preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and care plans related to home health services is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform first aid when necessary and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be comfortable using MS Word and Excel programs.
- Being able to work independently and a self-starter is a must.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
