SALARY: $ 17.76-$21.21/hour, Annual Step Increase
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Chauffeur License
- Class B CDL License - Endorsements - P-Passenger, S-School Bus, Air Brakes
- Complete 6 Hour Continuing Ed Course - Employer Paid
- State requirement, pass DOT physical, obtaining Medical Card - Employer Paid
- Experience with children with disabilities preferred. WE WILL TRAIN.
REPORT TO: Transportation Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a school bus, ensuring the secure transport of students to and from school and related activities.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies while driving and parking School Bus.
- Have excellent driving skills, be alert and exercise good judgment.
- Maintain a positive and communicative environment, addressing students' needs and concerns.
- Assist students during boarding and disembarking.
- Exhibit a positive image as a loyal representative of the school district.
- Establish favorable working relationships with supervisor, drivers, aides, teachers, parents and students, mechanic personnel.
- Be flexible and enjoy working with children.
- Foster a respectful and caring atmosphere for all passengers.
- Conduct regular safety checks on the bus and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain good physical health.
