The GNC engineering team focuses on researching and developing state-of-the-art algorithms that drive high-performance flight for the VBAT, a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft. As a GNC Engineer on this team, you’ll work on an agile team grounded in first principles to push the boundaries of the state-of-the-art.
10 Week Project Scope & Description:
Rising Bachelor's graduate = $47/hour
Rising Master's graduate = $56/hour
Rising PhD graduate = $65/hour
June 2nd - Aug 8th

June 23rd - Aug 29th

As a GNC Engineer on this team, you’ll work on an agile team grounded in first principles to push the boundaries of the state-of-the-art.
10 Week Project Scope & Description:
- During your 10-week internship, your work will mostly be centered around areas where we are currently not able to focus due to delivery schedule. Specifically, we need more automation in our test process to help accelerate release schedules and we need simulation development support.
- Some project tasks include: adding CI testing to our pipeline, improving system models based on flight test results
- You are an undergraduate, graduate or PhD student expected to graduate in December 2025 or Spring 2026.
- Pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or related STEM field.
- Skilled in Matlab, Simulink, C , Python
- Experience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc.
- Great written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional results.
- Record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
- Simulation modeling and controls knowledge are a plus.
Rising Bachelor's graduate = $47/hour
Rising Master's graduate = $56/hour
Rising PhD graduate = $65/hour
- Housing stipend provided for those who qualify.
