The Avionics Team is responsible for cradle to grave ownership of all V-BAT avionics. This includes custom circuits, simulations, harnessing, 3rd party modules, advanced payloads, sensors, compute, RF, and telemetry. A key objective is to design and deploy hardware to enable autonomous behaviors. This is accomplished through rigorous engineering analysis, debugging, failing fast, iterate, and execute with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do :
- Lead and grow the Avionics Systems Engineering team
- Own system level avionics, payloads, and 3rd party devices from concept through production for V-BAT and other Shield AI aircraft
- Lead and contribute to system level architecture design, verification, and rapid prototyping
- Assemble and drive highly cross-functional teams : product management, business development, electrical, mechanical, embedded, flight test, production, etc.
- Drive requirements, schedule, and deliverables for our aircraft product line
- Resolve technical challenges through analysis and verification
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve team and product efficiency, quality, reliability, and overall company success
- Other duties as assigned.
