Overview
The Laredo Shield Security Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets. This position involves overseeing security operations, managing security staff, and implementing protocols to prevent loss and ensure a safe environment and payroll reporting practices i.e. turning in schedules for each location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of security.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential security risks and implement corrective measures.
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activities and respond promptly to incidents.
- Develop and maintain effective loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and property damage.
- Provide training and guidance to security staff on conflict management, emergency response, and first aid procedures.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns or incidents.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, investigations, and daily activities for management review.
Skills
- Proficiency in scheduling and personnel management.
- Strong knowledge of loss prevention strategies and practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats or breaches in security protocols.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and law enforcement officials.
