What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Project Manager position at Shield Engineering Group?
Duties
- Responsible for overseeing the development of capital infrastructure projects which are generally stormwater related.

Responsible for leading the successful completion of engineering projects including the preparation, planning, scheduling and budgeting of capital improvement projects.

Effectively communicates with supervisors, city officials, the public, agencies, consultants, contractors, etc.

Manages and reviews consultant plans, organizes public meetings, as well as reviews contracts and invoices.

Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.

Must have taken and passed the Professional Engineer (PE) exam.

Strong time-management skills with excellent technical capabilities.
- Ability to work well under the Program Manager and provide excellent customer service.
Preferred Requirements

Experience with comprehensive capital project delivery programs in the areas of design, construction and inspection.
- Experience in Stormwater Management, such as hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage and grading design, stormwater system modeling and planning, floodplain modeling or infrastructure design experience.

Experience in infrastructure capital projects, such as design of stormwater, street, traffic control and water and wastewater facilities projects.
