What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager position at Shield Hotels?
Hotel Maintenance Manager is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repairs of hotel equipment, tools, and facilities. Oversee the maintenance staff and are responsible for the building and grounds. Perform preventative and repair work to ensure hotel is maintained according to established quality standards while treating guests in a warm and friendly manner.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the technologies required to maintain and troubleshoot all working systems within the hotel.
- Must have working knowledge of hand and power tool use to complete assignments.
- Ability to identify vendors and contractors for use on projects.
- Ability to spend the day on your feet as well as bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, lifting and possibly climbing ladders.
Skills and experience preferred in the following:
- Painting, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, HVAC
- Minor Technology
- Organization
- To be “On Call” for emergency repairs
- Open availability (Flexible schedule)
- Previous hotel experience preferred but not required
- Pay is based on experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
