Role Overview
The Director, Clinical Operations will oversee a unified team of advanced therapy-focused care coordination, financial clearance, and quality professionals servicing our flagship partner, New-York Presbyterian ("NYP"). This will include the expansion of these functions within existing NYP advanced therapy programs and the integration of de novo services within new therapeutic areas. The leader will cultivate a high performing team, establish and oversee care coordination and patient support workflows, and ensure excellence in patient care delivery. This position will focus exclusively on the NYP program for the foreseeable future, but the candidate will work closely with the Shields leadership team and serve an instrumental role in establishing a replicable service model outside health systems and patients will benefit from. Reports to Sr. Director, Operations.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of care coordination, financial clearance, and quality professionals deployed across all NYP disease programs supporting advanced therapies
- Drive team expansion through strategic recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, patient-centric culture that enhances care delivery and operations
- Partner with Shields leadership to define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics for future staff
Workflow Development, Integration, and Oversight :
Patient identification, financial clearance, enrollment, and care coordination

Compensation
The base salary for this role is anticipated to be between $175,000 and $200,000. Additionally, the role will include an annual bonus opportunity.
