Parts Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Order, Maintain, and Manage Parts Department Inventory

Locate any parts not in stock
- Complete special order part request for the customer
- Communicate with customer on parts status
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry
- Interview, Hire, and Supervise all parts department personnel, in addition to monitoring their customer service
- Create Goals and Objectives for the department, which includes an annual operating budget and a marketing plan to promote new and repeat business
- Keep up to date on manufacturer warrant and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with the factory representative
- Maintain the highest Customer Service Index (CSI) rating from customers and handle complaints immediately and according to dealership policy
- Maintain and actively seek additional Wholesale accounts in the area
- Other Duties as assigned
Parts Manager Requirements:
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Minimum of 3 year in service and/or parts department
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
