Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Observe and document changes in client behavior or condition, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff members.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Support clients in engaging in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
- Advocate for the rights of residents, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, or direct support roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and resident rights is beneficial.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged standing.
