Your Mission:
The Virtual MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment remotely to assist with imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing virtual imaging consultations, managing patient data, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, all while maintaining a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach.
Your Role:
- Remote MRI Scanning & Imaging: Use advanced telemedicine technology to remotely guide MRI scans, ensuring quality and accuracy of images.
- Remote Patient Access: Ensure continuous visual contact with the patient throughout the MRI scan and communicate with onsite staff via chat feature or phone.
- Assess: Review the patient screening conducted onsite, identifying any potential safety issues or contraindications.
- Clinical: Select appropriate protocols for MRI scan.
- Equipment Operation: Operate MRI equipment remotely in collaboration with on-site technologists or healthcare providers, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all procedures are compliant with safety standards, particularly in relation to the handling of MRI equipment and patient safety during scanning procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and results. Maintain detailed records for each imaging session.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor imaging quality and work to ensure all scans meet the standards for clarity and diagnostic accuracy.
- Continuing Education & Training: Stay current with developments in MRI technology, telemedicine practices, and Massachusetts healthcare regulations. Participate in training to improve skills and knowledge.
- Patient Data Management: Ensure all patient information is handled in compliance with HIPAA regulations and that electronic records are properly managed.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Licensure: Active ARRT license.
- Experience: At least 3 years of MRI Technologist independent scanning experience, with proficiency in operating MRI equipment and performing imaging procedures.
- Education: Completion of an accredited MRI certification program or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of MRI protocols, physics, and imaging software. Familiarity with remote telemedicine platforms and virtual healthcare technology.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technology.
- Additional Skills: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing technology and protocols.
