What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Staff Development position at Shields Nursing Centers, Inc.?
The DSD is responsible for orientation and training for nursing department and conducts orientation for our ancillary staff as appropriate for both of our facilities. We have great benefits which includes a Childcare partnership with Tootris.
There are other duties - including but not limited to the following for this position:
- Current California LVN Nursing license is required.
- 24-Hours Director of Staff Development Certification is required.
- 1 years minimum experience as a Director of Staff Development is required.
- Certified in Infection Prevention (Per CDPH Covid-19 requirements)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a skilled, post acute or long term care facilitu.
- Demonstrate supervisory leadership ability.
- Will be responsible for infection control.
- Manages staffing for CNA's.
- Manages QA program.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language is required.
- Must be computer proficient.
