Description
As a Medical Imaging AI Research Scientist at Laza Medical, you will be an integral part of our mission to design, build, test and deploy an advanced automation system for a novel medical device. Your primary responsibility will be to develop creative solutions to unsolved image analysis challenges for our device. You will collaborate with robotics team, ultrasound team, clinical team, and regulatory team to bring these solutions to market. This is a full-time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell, CA.
Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience
- Develop and optimize AI/ML models that analyze cardiovascular images for robotic control.
- Develop creative solutions to train models under real-world constraints.
- Collaborate with image annotation team to produce high quality annotations for model training.
- Create virtual imaging systems as testbed platform.
- Collaborate with system software team to deploy models into product.
Education & Work Experience
- PhD or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Track record solving unsolved challenges.
- Proven experience with deep learning vision models.
- Proficiency in python, pytorch, CUDA, C , CMake, DICOM.
- Experience in 3D visualization, graphics, imaging physics (esp. ultrasound), robotics a plus.
Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $170,000 to $200,000 equity benefits.
