Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PowerOptix Power User to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Our Client has unique, very large and complex Industrial, Customer, and Operations Datasets. Selected candidates will have proven experience and keen comprehension of a large/complex digital landscape, with a passion for serving the delivery of best in class results quickly, efficiently and accurately. We value sound processes, but never let process interfere with delivering results. We seek technical experts with mature, modern, and sound business acumen and a passion for driving practical and functional digital solutions. This role requires someone who can take ownership of configuring and optimizing the PowerOptix system, ensuring it supports the business needs around Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), reporting, and invoicing. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background with consultative skills, the ability to understand complex IT environments, and navigate the intricacies of large corporate operations.
With PowerOptix implementation underway, we are seeking a Subject Matter Expert that is able to roll up their sleeves, likely interacting directly with implementation partners to optimize/eliminate shortcomings in the implementation lifecycle. The SME will remedy ailments in current implementation and drive a result that yields a high performing steady state. Daily involvement in evaluations of PPA's, reports, invoices and essentially Configuring PowerOptix is the #1 objective of this role. This will mean negotiations/interactions with primary implementation partners and ensuring a high performing and enterprise adoption steady state.
Key Responsibilities:
- PowerOptix System Configuration: Configure, optimize, and maintain the PowerOptix platform to meet business and technical needs, including encoding Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), configuring reporting capabilities, and supporting invoicing processes.
- API Integration & Automation: Work with PowerOptix API to integrate with other systems, automate workflows, and ensure smooth data flow between applications.
- Consultative Support: Provide business-facing consulting services to stakeholders across departments, assisting with complex system queries and guiding them to make informed decisions based on system capabilities.
- Reporting & Invoicing: Ensure that reporting features are aligned with business requirements, and assist in generating and refining invoice outputs from the system.
- Collaboration with Vendors: Work alongside external vendors and internal IT teams to identify issues, improve system functionality, and ensure proper implementation and knowledge transfer.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders across various business & operations units to understand demand, set expectations, and deliver results while navigating a complex corporate IT landscape.
- Data Lakehouse Integration: Work with the data team to help integrate PowerOptix data into a single, cohesive data lakehouse, ensuring data integrity and facilitating cross-functional insights.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- Proven PowerOptix Experience: Hands-on experience with PowerOptix system configuration, particularly related to Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), reporting, and invoicing.
- API Integration: Familiarity with PowerOptix API to integrate with other enterprise systems.
- Consultative and Business-Facing Skills: Ability to interact with senior stakeholders, understand business needs, and translate those into technical requirements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Experience working with large, complex data sets, including reporting and analytical tools to generate insights from system data.
- Systems Integration Experience: Strong experience working with enterprise applications, understanding the interplay between different IT systems and ensuring seamless integration.
- Enterprise IT Environment Understanding: A solid understanding of large, complex corporate IT environments, particularly in industries related to energy, utilities, or industrial operations.
- Results-Oriented: Proven ability to drive business outcomes through effective systems utilization, problem-solving, and timely project completion.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience managing expectations, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration, and addressing challenges from multiple perspectives.
Preferred Skills:
- PPA Encoding & Structuring: Deep knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements, their lifecycle, and integration with business processes.
- Experience with Data Lakehouses: Familiarity with data lakehouses and optimizing data utilization in large, complex environments.
- Familiarity with the Energy Sector: Previous experience working in the energy, utilities, or related industrial sectors is a strong plus.
- Programming/Scripting: Knowledge of scripting or programming languages to assist with PowerOptix configuration, API interaction, and automation is advantageous.
- Vendor Management: Experience working directly with external vendors, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quality support and service.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PowerOptix, Data Analytics, Project Management, etc.) are a plus.
