Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth and development.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Assist in collecting data on client progress and behavior changes.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
- Provide direct support to children in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to maintain medical records effectively.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Proficient in behavior management strategies and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients and families about behavioral interventions.
- Ability to assist clients with daily living skills while promoting independence.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information.
