Shift was founded in 2009 focused on the FX space. Sensing the seismic shifts taking place in the financial industry, and the disruptive power of digital assets, we made it our mission to make these decentralized trends accessible to every business, from market leaders to small retailers.

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our sales initiatives, drive lead generation, and build long-term client relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. The BDR will focus on identifying and engaging potential clients, optimizing outbound strategies, as well as developing and tracking key metrics. You will work closely with senior leadership and the marketing team to refine outreach strategies and optimize our sales funnel.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Identify target accounts, decision-makers, and customer profiles within the crypto, fintech, and SaaS industries.
  • Engage potential clients through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
  • Qualify leads and schedule meetings for senior sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize lead funnels and improve conversion rates.
  • Utilize CRM (Zoho CRM) to track leads, manage sales activities, and report progress.
  • Assist in refining the sales process and identifying new revenue opportunities.
  • Track key sales metrics, goals, and OKRs to ensure performance benchmarks are met.
  • Support partnership management efforts, fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders.

Who You Are :

  • Highly motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation (Must be in fintech, SaaS, or crypto).
  • Strong understanding of outbound sales techniques and prospecting tools.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Comfortable with international (2-3 times per year) and domestic travel as required
  • Based in NYC and able to work in-office at least twice a week.
  • Requirements

  • Experience working in fintech, crypto, or SaaS sales.
  • Familiarity with institutional trading, digital asset markets, or blockchain technology.
  • CRM experience (Zoho CRM preferred).
  • Analytical mindset with experience tracking and optimizing sales metrics.
